The striking appearance of a cantilevered design is hard to ignore. As the structure projects out, a surreal feeling of lightness and negative space is created. With these three pieces, my goal was to design furniture that challenged common sense, and required the user to look just a bit closer. Using solid wood construction, and sliding dovetail joinery, the cantilevered design finds it's strength in the details and demands a second look.
